HD Plus Creations is a Malawian-based videography and advertising agency that specialized in producing creative audio-visual content for non-governmental organizations, corporations and individuals. As a response to the COVID19 pandemic in Malawi, HD Plus would like to create a comedy drama-series in vernacular languages that will consist of signs and symptoms as well as prevention measures that need to be followed. This comedy series will also hinge on myths about the coronavirus and stigma experienced by survivors, medical practitioners and other front-line respondents. This response is expected to influence positive 18 behaviour, change among audience, and create awareness on the mental wellness of those affected. This would further create opportunities for employment for young people involved in the production of the mini-series. The Growth Accelerator COVID19 Special window is to finance the production and distribution of the comedy series.
