HD Plus Creations is a Malawian-based videography and advertising agency that specialises in producing creative audio-visual content for non-governmental organisations, corporations and individuals.
As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic in Malawi, HD Plus Creations would like to create a comedy drama series in vernacular languages that will communicate signs and symptoms as well as prevention measures that need to be followed.
This comedy series will also focus on myths about the coronavirus and stigma experienced by survivors, medical practitioners and other frontline respondents.
This response is expected to influence positive behaviour, change among audience, and create awareness of the mental wellness of those affected.
This would further create opportunities for employment for young people involved in the production of the miniseries.
The Growth Accelerator’s COVID-19 Special Window will finance the production and distribution of the comedy series.
