Nthambi Farms is a woman led business that raises rabbits for meat, live sales, and organic fertilizer, while cultivating pawpaw trees to support sustainable feed. The venture plans to expand through an outgrower model, training community members to farm rabbits and supply products back to the business.
With GA matching grant, the company will procure essential farm assets, including fencing, rabbit houses, an abattoir and an irrigation system for pawpaw. This Intervention will increase farmer income through the out-grower model, improve Nthambi farms revenues and create 4 new jobs with 60% targeted at women and youth.
