Purple Innovations for Women and Girls is a registered charity that primarily works with women and girls with disabilities. The organisation provides capacity building to its beneficiaries by administering vocational skills training in fields such as tailoring.
With support from the Growth Accelerator COVID-19 Special, Purple Innovations plans to supply medical and quality chitenje. Purple Innovations intends to make an impact by providing high-quality masks to the Malawi population with special focus on the northern region.
The venture will also conduct awareness campaigns in the local languages to ensure customers and the public have up-to-date information on safety measures against the coronavirus. These efforts will in turn contribute to the improved livelihoods for the 70 women with disabilities working at the centre and their families.
