Tadala Farms, operating under KKGT Investments, is a small-scale horticultural and livestock enterprise. Established in 2020 and headquartered at Milara, Lilongwe, the farm spans 20 acres and has additional sites at Mpemba, Blantyre (10 acres), Mikundi (52 acres), and Kapiri (20 acres) in Mchinji.
Tadala Farms specialises in the production of high-quality bananas (fruits and suckers), citrus fruits (oranges and lemons), mangoes, pineapples, honey and livestock. In addition to production, Tadala Farms serves as an educational tour destination, offering visitors an opportunity to learn about sustainable farming practices while enjoying a day of exploration and fun.
In 2022, Tadala Farms launched a pilot project featuring a 7,000-pineapple plant field at its Lilongwe site. As it scales up its operations, its objective is to grow strategically and sustainably. Key to this vision is the expansion of banana production to its 52-acre site in Mikundi, Mchinji.
Tadala Farms plans to establish a 10,800-plant banana plantation at Mikundi supported by a cutting-edge irrigation system. This initiative will reinforce its market position by producing bananas of exceptional quality and size. With support from the Growth Accelerator, Tadala Farms will, among others, drill a solar-powered borehole and constructing a water reservoir to ensure uninterrupted irrigation and instal a drip irrigation system to nourish 10,800 banana plants effectively.
